Fitting downlights for a kitchen refurb today. The ceiling was removed to allow for the wiring, which might sound drastic, but it’s actually a more efficient approach. It contains all the work and mess in one area, eliminating the need to lift carpets, move furniture, or damage floors from above.

This method also makes it easier to locate joists and accurately position the downlights. I use flow click plugs for the downlights, allowing me to complete both the first and second fix without having to leave the circuit isolated.
